This was such an amazing project to work on, the briefing was for a two label serie, inspired on jazz songs. The graphic concept was somehow open, as long as it didn't related to anything jazz. Searching from inspiration on the songs and the stories behind them, the moon came as an intercepting subject: them it was it, on 'Round About Midnight, it behaves as a reference to a glass ring stain, eclipsing the sun, and therefore becoming night, but just 'round about it... and on A Love Supreme the full moon rising is a reference to god and the universe itself, searching for a meaning closely with the meaning John Coltrane had put on developing the album, meandering his spiritual journey, this is why the moon is shown so big, to bring on this effect of grandiosity.
